Our story
A corner shop with a roaster in the back.
Ember & Oak started with a secondhand roaster, a stack of library books, and a stubborn belief that a great cup shouldn’t require a commute downtown. We opened on Larch Street in 2016 and have been roasting a few doors from where we pour ever since.
We buy green coffee from importers who name their farmers and pay above fair-trade rates. Everything is roasted in small batches so the beans in your bag were fire-roasted days — not months — ago. The pastries come from our own ovens, and the oat milk is on the house.
- Small-batch roasting every Tuesday & Friday.
- Relationship coffee — we know our growers by name.
- A real third place — stay as long as you like.
